Dromore to Magheralin

We started today with a quick
sprint across the main A1 dual-carriageway at Dromore. Not easy at our age but all three of us made it - just.

Much more our style down here on a path leading to a fishing area at the river.

Brian tries his luck catching some lunch.

We quickly passed the Gill Hall estate, reputed to have been the most haunted place in Ireland. These look like refurbished estate workers cottages.

An attempted back-flip dive into the river at Donaghcloney.  The village houses, church, school and cricket club were all established by Liddell & Sons, the local mill owners.

This Donaghcloney man won the VC but permission was refused for a memorial in several places connected with his life. Only recently, approval was granted for this stone in the local cemetery.

The truth is out - we didn't really RUN all the way.

We ended the day eating chips in a bus shelter at Magheralin. It's been hard to find cafes along the Lagan. This place wasn't even sure if it was a cafe.
