Magheralin to Lisburn

The Lagan is about two marathons long, this leg was about half a marathon and it finally brought us to the end of the road section.  We might be getting on a bit in years but only one person has managed to pass us so far - and he used a bicycle.

This journey isn't just a run, today included all sorts of extra activities ...... rock climbing.

Helping with plum harvesting ......

a quick game of virtual golf .....

and riding around the Down Royal Racecourse, without horses.

Amazingly, we were allowed into the Down Royal clubhouse for coffee.  A nice place with a very relaxed dress-code.

Nearing Lisburn, we passed some old canal locks.  It was great to get off-road at last.

What wasn't so great was today's lunch in Lisburn - way too much lettuce.

Although this wee man, at the adjoining table, looked like he wanted some of it.
